About DiSAC
The DiSAC (R&D Unit in Digital Services, Applications and Content) focus its activity on the development of innovative digital technologies, applications and services, as well as in the dissemination of the results of its own activity and other higher level digital literacy to the surrounding community. The unit will cover areas such as information and decision systems, pervasive and mobile computing, multimedia content and applications, information and computer security, assistive technologies and internet of things. Those are areas where the unit’s members have already shown significant competences in the past and where we believe substantial contributions will be made in the future. The mission of the DiSAC can be considered two-fold: firstly, the production of high quality research and innovative solutions in the covered areas and secondly, the dissemination of its results and competences, specially to the regional community, where the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (PICB) plays a leading role.
Members
DiSAC is composed of integrated members and collaborating members. Integrated members are researchers with a PhD degree that have been accepted as integrated members. Collaborating members are temporary collaborators participating in research activities of DiSAC.
